Privacy

An account holds an email address, a username, and whatever you choose to add to your profile — display name, bio, avatar, banner and date of birth. The date of birth is used only to decide whether to show adult content and is not readable by other accounts.

Using the site adds:

• What you track, its status, and how far through it you are.
• Ratings, reviews, comments, discussions and likes.
• Who you follow, who you are friends with, and who you have muted or blocked.
• Direct messages, which are readable by the people in the conversation and by nobody else.
• Points, streaks and referral codes.
• A Steam ID, if you link one. Only public Steam data is read, and only to show your own library back to you.

Signed out, nothing is stored on a server. Titles you track as a guest live in your own browser and are lost if you clear it.

Two, and neither is for advertising or tracking you across other sites:

• A session cookie, set when you sign in, that keeps you signed in.
• A timezone cookie, so the release calendar can put an episode on the day it airs where you are rather than where the server is.

Entiverse runs on services that necessarily see some of this. They are processors, not audiences — none of them is sold your data:

• Supabase — the database, sign-in, and uploaded images.
• Vercel — hosting, which means it handles the requests your browser makes.
• Resend — sending account email such as password resets.

Catalogue information — posters, synopses, air dates, credits — is fetched from TMDB, MyAnimeList, Open Library, IGDB, MusicBrainz, Podcast Index, Wikidata and Steam. Those requests are made by the server, so they carry no identifying information about you.

Reviews, discussions, comments and public collections are public, and appear on your profile. A profile can be made private in settings, and your library has its own separate setting — public, friends only, or private.

Direct messages, blocks, mutes and your date of birth are never shown to anybody else.

You can delete your account from settings. Doing so removes the account and the content attached to it. Deletion is immediate and not reversible.

Individual reviews, comments and collections can be deleted on their own at any time without removing the account.

Entiverse is not intended for children under 13. Accounts whose date of birth is under 16 are never shown content marked adult, and are not offered the option to reveal it.

This page describes accurately what the software does. The parts that are legal rather than technical — the operating entity, an address to write to, the governing jurisdiction, and a stated retention period for backups — are not settled yet and are deliberately not invented here. They need to be added before Entiverse takes payment, runs advertising, or opens to the public at scale.
