Approaching his 40th birthday, with a wife and two young children, this warm and likeable Yorkshireman has quit a well paid job to embrace full-time comedy. Leap Year explores the conflicting pressures of artistic vocation vs parenthood, describing his parental-workload-dodging schemes and his double-agent status among playgroup mums - always feeling like he's selfishly letting everyone down.
