The Advent Of Anesthesia

A silent film reenactment of the introduction of surgical anesthesia. Produced, directed and acted by staff members of Massachusetts General Hospital. Two future Mass General chiefs—Edward Churchill (Surgery) and William J. Mixter (Neurosurgery)—are among the stars of this fairly accurate production.
