I Regret Not Having Loved You More

The poet Niu Sixi (Wang Xudong) joins the editorial department of a poetry journal in a certain county town, and is forced by his father (Shao Feng) to marry Wang Guixia (Mahua FunAge artist Jin Chunhua), a girl from the countryside who gelds donkeys. Not long after, Niu Sixi meets the intellectual and beautiful female poet Yingtaohua (Duoni). On one side is the wife he has lived with for many years who truly cares for him, and on the other is the true love he has long yearned for in his heart. He finds himself caught in a dilemma, and a series of hilarious and absurd stories unfold from there...
